Timi Sangai Lyrics — English Translation & Meaning
This love is so strange — and why is it that I cannot hold back this smile of mine? There is a great deal I have to say to you, but why is it I cannot manage to say anything? Does it happen this way for you as well? Do you weave dreams remembering me? That autumn leaf, that cold moonlit night, that sun going down — let me see them together with you That autumn leaf, that cold moonlit night, that sun going down — let me see them together with you Words are simply not enough to describe it Some things must be understood without being said If I am not your first love, then let me be your last Keep me in your arms always That autumn leaf, that cold moonlit night, that sun going down — let me see them together with you That autumn leaf, that cold moonlit night, that sun going down — let me see them together with you Let me see them together with you Always, forever, always...

About "Timi Sangai" by Apurva Tamang
"Timi Sangai" means "together with you", and the phrase is used in the song with unusual precision. The narrator is not asking to be loved, or to be answered, or even to be told anything. He is asking for company while looking at three specific things.
Those three things are the entire chorus and the whole emotional argument: an autumn leaf, a cold moonlit night, a setting sun. All three are ends — the end of a season, the coldest part of the night, the end of a day. He is not asking her to share his happiness. He is asking her to be present for the things that are finishing.
The verses set up why the request has to be so indirect. He has a great deal to say and can say none of it, and he states plainly that words are not enough and some things have to be understood without being spoken. Having given up on language, he proposes a shared view instead.
The best line arrives near the end and is the one thing he does ask for directly: "Pahilo maya nabhaye mero antim hunu" — if I am not your first love, then be my last. It concedes a great deal in its first half and asks for everything in its second, and the placement, right before the final repetitions of the chorus, is what gives the song its lift.
